Spinal Decompression Therapy

DTS Spinal Decompression Therapy has helped thousands and it can help you, too!  It is painless.  Studies show that it is more effective than surgical procedures.  A gentle stretching force, generated by a small computerized motor, is applied to the spine.  A comfortable harness is worn by the patient over their clothes.  The sessions last approximately 20 minutes depending on the patient case.

The gentle stretching force applied to the spine causes a lowered pressure in the spine's disc(hence the name decompression).  This stretch/release repetition helps improve nutrient flow to the disc.  Since the disc has no direct blood supply, this action is essential to repair.

Medications and injections into this area of injury may help to decrease the disc’s inflammation and that inflammation may be keeping the disc from repairing itself. However, the mechanical stimulation provided by decompression is essential to repair the disc. Medications and injections do not provide this and any relief felt from the injection will be short-lived.

Unlike traditional treatments, DTS Therapy is actually based on your comfort and safety! The force gently graduates over several minutes to a peak that distracts the vertebra and gently stretches the soft tissue. You’ll experience several cycles of stretch and relaxation during DTS Therapy. Sessions are approximately 20 minutes and many patients benefits greatly with as few as 6-12 treatments.
